Euonymus is a small (but growing) training company based in Cambridgeshire run by Nicki Proietti.
Euonymus Training and Nurture Packages are designed to meet the needs of small groups of
professionals or family members seeking practical support and information to develop good practice
and understanding in guiding, nurturing and developing ourselves and our children to achieve positive
outcomes.
Euonymus seeks to offer both set training days and bespoke training packages for practitioners, pupils and families to develop specific skills and knowledge to help navigate and support the needs of individuals in a one size fits all system. Training with Euonymus in small groups allows parents and professionals a supportive, non judgemental forum to develop their skills, understanding and practical resources. Combine your training with, or simply choose, one of The Nurture sessions in order to access personal support offering opportunities for relaxation, respite and/ or reflection to help develop internal resources to meet the demands of everyday living.
Many of our courses are set predominantly outside in local woodland settings. The importance of outdoor spaces and working within nature for improved health, wellbeing and development has been increasingly well documented over at least the last decade. Working with Cambridge Forest Schools, Euonymus offer a special training and therapeutic environment with a ‘natural’ perspective to further compliment their sessions. Our campfire provides a relaxing space to reflect together on our learning, as well as allowing us to enjoy delicious snacks and refreshments throughout the sessions.
Why are you called Euonymus? :-
Euonymus (Spindle Tree) is a genus of flowering plants in the staff vine family. Varying species of Euonymus are found in almost all parts of the world and are widely distributed. The flowers tend to occur in small, inconspicuous but nonetheless beautiful groups. Interestingly, the shoots of the Euonymus Europae (the species native to the UK) are initially round, soon becoming square, and then round again as they expand and mature.
Square pegs and round holes....? Round pegs and square holes....!
